melissa’s growth path

Before Adept, Melissa’s career included both agency and client-side experience. Graduating from Ohio Northern University with a BA in Communication Arts and Public Relations, she launched her career as an Account Executive with a large scale marketing and communications agency in Columbus.

Her agency experience quickly led to an opportunity as an Internal Communications Specialist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Providing value to the team, she soon moved into an Interactive Marketing Specialist role, and, finally, into a role as a Senior Interactive Marketing Counselor for the organization.

Wanting to expand her responsibilities, Melissa joined a local agency as a Director of Digital Services. There, she specialized in Strategy & Account Management, Inbound/Content Marketing, and Business Development—and developed a passion for growing meaningful results and relationships with clients.

Melissa joined Adept in 2015, taking on the challenge of building the agency’s Account Strategy team. Today, she leads a team of account specialists and strategist to ensure exceptional delivery and meaningful results to our clients.

in her downtime

With a 5-year-old and 8-year-old, Melissa’s free time is quickly consumed! But, she enjoys spending it with them and her husband, and actively participating in their sports and extracurricular activities. She has recently been named Ambassador of the Polar Bear Club at her alma mater Ohio Northern University – a fundraising effort for athletics, where she’ll be representing the volleyball program.
