Adept is looking for a strong team player that can hit the ground running leading and executing SEO strategies. This position is part of the marketing acquisition team and will report up to the SEO manager.

At Adept, we know SEO is more than just titles and descriptions. The roles main focus will be building and executing strategies that include a custom mix of content, linking building, website improvements, local SEO, and whatever other tactics are identified. The position is client-facing and responsible for client’s success’ within organic search. This person will also get to work across other service lines to ensure we are building the best digital strategies possible. We want someone that is passionate about search marketing and ready to jump on board a fast-paced and fun team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for key client success based on defined SEO strategies while working as client facing subject matter expert
  • Builds and owns executions of client roadmaps
  • Performs keyword research, website performance analysis, gap analysis, competitor analysis, content and technical audits
  • Builds and executes content marketing strategies and link building strategies
  • Works closely with client experience team to understand business goals
  • Builds and presents client deliverables
  • Analyzes and communicates SEO findings clearly and concisely
  • Works cross-team with content, development, analytics, paid search and client experience
  • Train SEO team members and cross-train other department members on SEO strategy and tactics
  • Provides organic landscape and opportunity research to support new business opportunities
  • Stays up-to-date on marketing trends, especially SEO, and able to translate these findings to clients and internal team education

Required Skills

  • Be willing and able to perform every SEO task, from keyword research and data analysis to content optimization and technical implementation (XML sitemaps, Robots.txt, Redirects)
  • Proficient in SEO platforms such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Moz, STAT or other enterprise SEO tools such as Conductor, Linkdex, or Brightedge.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools. Proficiency in Google Tag Manager, Data Studio a plus
  • Wordpress, Magento, Bigcommerce or other common CMS Familiarity
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript/Regex
  • Copywriting, editing, and content marketing experience
  • Ability to build and present Powerpoint or keynote presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize own task list
  • Eagerness to learn quickly and practice new skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Passion for digital marketing and problem-solving
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Degree in marketing or related field

  • Agency experience
  • Deep Technical SEO Experience including e-commerce optimization (faceted navigation, Javascript crawling, etc)
  • Proficient in Supermetrics or Blockspring
  • Website building experience (by hand or on CMS)
  • Expert experience in Excel or other data analysis or visualization tools such as Tableau, Domo, or a coding language
  • PR and outreach experience
  • Large scale local SEO experience
  • Degree or experience in statistics, math, MIS or computer science
